The capital city of Japan, and one of the largest and most vibrant cities in the world. It's hectic, and crowded, but also a place where the old and the new mix, sometimes harmoniously, sometimes discordantly. Below are a few photographs of the city.

Kawagoe

Kawagoe is known as the Little Edo, because the town keeps some of the buildings from the Edo period, and has many tourist attractions, such as the Kita-in temple. It can be reached within an hour from Shinjuku, and is a great place to go for a day-trip from Tokyo.

Matsumoto

We passed the city while on a trip, and made a short stop to visit the castle.
