State of emergency in Kyrgyzstan and Thailand
Kyrgyzstan and Thailand are two different countries, and events occurring in these two states are unrelated. However, they have one thing in common: a state of emergency has been declared in both countries. We have no idea what exactly has happened, or what will happen over the next few days, weeks and months. The causes, actors and nature of these protests are probably very different. Will there be more massive protests and disturbances in other countries? If this were to happen, then analysts and future historians will try to seek patterns, where there is perhaps none. What happens when unrelated events are linked in the minds of people, and then they proceed to act on the basis that there is a link?
